Nsukka - A human right activist,
Christopher Ozor, on Saturday
urged President Muhammadu
Buhari, to look beyond party
considerations in appointing his
ministers.
Ozor told the media in Nsukka,
Enugu State, that this would enable
Buhari to select the calibre of
people that would help him to
meet public expectations.
"For Mr President to get capable
hands to help in running his
government, he should not focus
only on All Progressives Congress
but should look beyond the party
in selecting ministers,” he said.
He said that many Nigerians were
looking forward to the fulfillment of
the president’s campaign promises.

Ozor told the media that to meet
the expectations of the citizenry,
Buhari should engage capable
hands and technocrats to handle
various sectors of the economy.
He urged Buhari to ensure that the
activities of Boko Haram ended in
the next six months to enable his
government concentrate on how to
fix the economy.
The activist pleaded with Nigerians
to support as well as give the
present administration some time
to stabilize and carry out the much
expected changes.
"Buhari as president cannot do it
alone; he needs the support of all
Nigerians both at home and in
Diaspora to move the country
forward."
"We should give him time to fix the
economy, fight corruption as well
as end Boko Haram that has
become a nightmare to Nigerians."
