old the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that Tukur's decision to resign was a wise one.
"The decision by Tukur to leave as PDP national Chairman is a wise one and a good development,'' he said.
Manwe said that Tukur had not committed any offence to warrant his resignation, but he only did that for the party to move forward.
He called on members of the House who defected to the APC to come back as the party could not afford to lose them.
President Goodluck Jonathan on Jan. 16 at the party's 63rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting announced Tukur's resignation.
